Hello, my name is Alara Kalfazade, and I graduated from Brown University with Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science - Economics with a focus on the design track. I'm originally from Istanbul, Turkey!

During my studies at Brown, after taking a course on UI/UX I discovered my passion for UX design. I became passionate about creating innovative solutions that solve real-world problems. I believe that my experience in consulting has provided me with skills in understanding client needs, effective communication, and exposure to a variety of industries, which can be invaluable in creating effective UX designs. I'm constantly working to improve my design skills and stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies.

I focus my creative practice somewhere between graphic design and web development. I see these disciplines as interconnected in the way that they allow me to play with text and images to create different meanings and realities.

In my free time, I enjoy taking photos with my film camera, dancing to house music, playing the piano, watching cooking or true crime shows, and exploring different cultures through travel. The last place I visited was Aruba! I'm currently hooked on Better Call Saul, and I'm always looking for recommendations on what to watch or where to travel next.
