Limon Zine

Limon, the Turkish word for lemon, is a zine with recipes of Turkish food that are always eaten with a few drops of lemon. This small zine celebrates the vibrant flavors and rich history of Turkish cuisine. It includes the importance, recipes, and pictures of each of the most popular dishes among the locals of Turkey.

I decided to create this zine to express the importance of lemon in Turkish cuisine and the prevalence of the act of squeezing lemon juice onto food.

The final booklet features 20 pages, including pictures, how the food is usually eaten, and recipes. The photos are edited to make a risograph texture effect. The choice of yellow paper and green font color is to represent lemon. The booklet is designed using Adobe Indesign and the photos were edited in Adobe Photoshop. Printed using PrimeLink Printer on yellow construction paper and assembled with saddle stitch stapler. Typography: Chee Tbone is used for titles and Roc Grotesk is used for body text.
